Business Areas—Finance

At Wyeth Consumer Healthcare, the Finance department is directly involved in all aspects of our company. As such, our people are given the opportunity to really influence the business. The Finance Department tracks, reports on, and provides insight into the financial aspects of our business. We find ways to improve efficiencies, as well as establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard the division's assets.

As a result of our participation in all areas of the company, we have a proven track record for moving employees into other areas of the corporation in both financial and non-financial positions. Employees in the Finance department commonly move between the various finance functions that exist within the division, as well as to corporate headquarters or other divisions of the corporation.

The sections within Finance are:

• General Accounting
• Divisional Accounting
• Business Unit Financial Analysis
• Credit and Collections
• Payroll
• Accounts Receivable
• Accounts Payable

Additional corporate functions include:

• Accounting/corporate consolidations
• Reporting
• Treasury
• Compliance/internal audit
• External financial reporting

We are always looking for people who are self-confident, proactive, and effective communicators, and who are not afraid to challenge the status quo. We offer many opportunities to advance within our company and within the larger corporation. In fact, people in our Finance department typically change jobs every three to four years.

We have Finance departments in both Madison, New Jersey and Richmond, Virginia, although the majority of positions are located in Richmond. Depending upon the location and level of the position you are seeking, our educational requirements range from business degrees to accounting degrees to CPAs and/or MBAs for senior-level positions.
