Our mission is to be the industry leader in the development of over-the-counter (OTC) health care products. We are pursuing this goal through an aggressive focus on and creative application of science, technology, and strategic partnerships.

We work closely with our U.S. and International Marketing groups in identifying and developing consumer valued and preferred products. In this manner, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare will continue as a leader in the Global OTC industry.

PR&D's state-of-the-art facility, located in Richmond, Virginia, has new Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) production and clinical packaging areas. In line with our corporate values, our facility fosters an environment that encourages communication and collaboration. Additionally, we have extensive interaction with our colleagues at our company headquarters, as well as at our plants and affiliates located around the globe.

Our people are self-starters who work with others to achieve common goals. Furthermore, our people have opportunities to advance both within PR&D and within the larger company.

Our technical staff includes scientists with bachelor's degrees and advanced degrees in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, and microbiology, as well as quality assurance specialists and technicians with experience in pharmaceutical processing.
