In Richmond, Virginia, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare has always been known as the place to work. After deciding to leave public accounting, I sent my resume to two placement agencies. When they asked me where I wanted to work, I immediately told them, "Wyeth." Both said it was very difficult to get a job there because "they rarely have any openings. When people get a job there, they never leave." "Great," I said, "that's where I want to be!"

My current role gives me an opportunity to use all of my training and my 28 years of experience. Using my knowledge of accounting, I have implemented many financial systems here over the years. My job enables me to expand upon my experience by implementing new systems, as well as improving current systems.

Recently, I've participated in the Wyeth Consumer Healthcare Diversity Council. The company's awareness and involvement in this critical area is encouraging. They clearly believe it's important that Wyeth Consumer Healthcare take the initiative to ensure that issues relating to a diverse workforce are addressed.
