Wyeth Announces Promotions of Rene R. Lewin to Senior Vice President, Human Resources, and Marily H. Rhudy to Senior Vice President, Public Affairs
Madison, N.J., September 30, 2004 - Wyeth (NYSE: WYE) announced the promotions of René R. Lewin, 58, to the position of Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Wyeth, and Marily H. Rhudy, 56, to the position of Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, Wyeth, effective immediately.
Mr. Lewin joined Wyeth in May 1994 as Vice President, Human Resources. Prior to joining Wyeth, Mr. Lewin worked for Eli Lilly and Company for 24 years. During his employment he held a variety of management positions, including President and General Manager, Eli Lilly Canada; Executive Director, Corporate Affairs; and Executive Director, Human Resources.
Mr. Lewin graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Industrial Management and he received a Masters in Business Administration from Butler University.
Ms. Rhudy joined Wyeth in 1993 as Assistant Vice President, Professional Relations for Wyeth-Ayerst, and was named Vice President, Public Affairs, for the domestic pharmaceutical division in 1994. Three years later, she was promoted to Vice President, Global Public Affairs, Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals. The same year she was elected to the corporate officer position of Vice President, Corporate Public Affairs, for Wyeth.
Before joining Wyeth, Ms. Rhudy was President and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the American Pharmaceutical Association in Washington, D.C., an organization that she served for more than 10 years. Following an appointment to the White House in 1993 where she worked on health care reform, Ms. Rhudy joined Wyeth.
She is an alumna of the University of Kansas where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. She was awarded the University of Kansas Distinguished Alumnae award in 1998.
